Happy Valentine's Day! What I'm Loving Right Now
On this warm and fuzzy winter day I bring you some details from my everyday life, things I've been grateful of ever since getting them. Lately there hasn't been much to appreciate because of personal life problems, but these things have been a wonderful add to my current troubled life situation.
Of course I love the people around me just as much, if not more, but since not having too many friends and being single, I thought I'd keep this one simple and succinct, focusing on easy everyday subjects. Enjoy!
Robert's Coffee travel mug. My precious. The travel mug from Robert's Coffee has been the best purchase I've had in a while. It's light in weight and looks fancy, and at the same time keeps the drink's temperature and is of convenient size and model. So whether it's late morning coffee at school or night-time tea time, this one's a saviour. I also heard that you can buy coffee from Robert's Coffee straight into the travel mug, which is yet another thing to be excited about!
My new sailor cap. It only took an instant for me to order this cap from H&M when I first saw it. Ever since the time prior to seeing Tom of Finland I had been dying to get one for myself, but the constant hunt turned into multiple disappointments and it was always out of stock - even when I ordered it for the first time. This time I was quick and now am lucky to say I have my own sailor cap! It spruces up any look, casual and fancy, and will be worn frequently, especially when I got my new earphones so it doesn't get in the way of the music - more on that below.
My earphones. When the sailor cap I talked about above finally arrived, I desperately needed some new earphones. I can't put on headphones and wear the cap, so I joined Mum on her visit to Gigantti and got myself these champagne-coloured, ultra-bass sound ear phones. They're quite amazing - they not only look pretty, but they also woke up the old memories of being completely obsessed with earphones. I'm still going to use my headphones, don't worry - whenever I'm not wearing my sailor cap!
Carmex lip balm. I can't believe I actually manifested this one. I had seen this on the A Little J & K blog that I follow, and somehow the love I felt for the product they talked about there got into the Universe and bam! Now I have my own Carmex lip balm, and it is exactly as good as I had thought - if not better. Lip balms have to be effective to get my attention, because my lips get dry super quickly and I need something I can always rely on. Carmex is definitely a keeper!
Big Little Lies. I'm not the best at watching TV series alone, but with Mum we've actually been enjoying watching at least one episode of our new favourite show every busy week. Big Little Lies is just the perfect way to sink into a show's drama and forget the rest of the world for a while. I won't spoil you any more, other than if you see a woman there called Bonnie - yep, you've found my current fictional character crush.
Now, a little more about the intro. I know I haven't been nearly as active here on the blog as I've desired, which only adds to the gloomy feelings I've been feeling. My family life is struggling because of my father's drama and alcoholism, usually both of them at the same time. I'm nervous about the matriculation examinations, and just being a last year student in general. I've been feeling very blue, but fortunately today, right now, see the many beautiful things in life, these things I've listed above being parts of them all. Maybe there truly is love in the air?
